Musical Goddess, iNDRANi Celebrates Love On Valentine’s Day

Musical Goddess, iNDRANi Celebrates Love on Valentine’s day

Bridgetown, Barbados - 8th February 2010

Love is in the air and recording artiste, iNDRANi has channeled it, releasing her love anthem "WANNA BE (THAT THING)" from her upcoming album “GODDESS WILD”

iNDRANi said "This one is a crowd favorite. Aside from the things on the surface: pretty melody, catchy chorus, cute voice…when you really dig into the lyrics, the song is really about giving yourself permission to yes, acknowledge doubt, and recognize pain, but MORE important than that, to allow yourself to believe again…"

According to iNDRANi, “this album represents a more personal follow-up to "Most Divine," embracing shades of acoustic and alternative folk with a lot of vocal instrumentation, while chronicling a journey of love. “I've always sung about love in a general sense…this time…it's just a lot closer to the 'bone'….closer to home…my entire heart and soul are in this album.”

"GODDESS WILD" resonates the sentiment of intimate love, all from iNDRANi’s real life experiences, beginning with "To The Other Side" the first recorded track for the album which came at a time when the Singer/Songwriter was calling love into her life,  and "WANNA BE (THAT THING)" was written a year later when she needed to believe in love again. “All of my songs are special to me, though each touches me in a different way. I don't sit down to write songs for myself (do that with Vegas and other people I write with/for – write on demand.) With the songs I choose to sing, they decide when they're ready to be born. I just surrender and ride the wave when it comes.”

"GODDESS WILD" is an independent project, produced by iNDRANi, who also showcases her skills on guitar, live percussion and background vocals. Love anthem, "WANNA BE (THAT THING)" features top musicians, Andre Daniel on bass,  Melvin Alick on drums, and was mixed and mastered by Trinidad's own music powerhouse, Kasey "KC" Phillips of Precision Productions.

The song is now available for purchase on iRibbeanTunes.com follow the link – https://www.iribbeantunes.com/WebsitePages/albumdetails.php?albumId=370
The song will be added to iTunes at a later this month.

iNDRANi will be performing "Wanna Be" live with her band at The Holetown Festival for their the Jazzy Monday Show at the Seaside Theatre (Free Concert) on Monday February 15th. The show begins at 7:30 PM.

CHR Productions Assoc. Jamaica Red Cross Presents "Hustlin For Haiti"

Monday, January 25, 2010

One of Jamaica's young alternative artists, Katherine Williams {Crimson Heart Replica} is currently leading a fundraising event dubbed "Hu$tlin' for Haiti.

“Hu$tlin’ for Haiti”  {a Red Cross Jamaica endorsed event} is an organized musical event, staged as a call to action for citizens of Jamaica and music fans at large to assist in the recovery efforts in Haiti. The event will facilitate the collection of in- kind and cash donations to be handed over to the Red Cross to support its efforts in Haiti. This cause means a lot to Katherine and the artistic community of Jamaica and with their help it is hoped that this event will raise at least JA$100,000.

“Hu$tlin’ for Haiti” will be staged on Friday January 29 at the Chilitos Mexican Restaurant in Kingston and will feature performances by recording artists, Crimson Heart Replica, Cezar, Robert “Dubwize” Browne, Donahue Jarret, Denyque, Acmatic, Jason Worton, Kariuki, Last Minute Bizniz, Black Zebra, and DJ Afifa {more artists to be added to roster}. These artists have committed to volunteering their services free of cost to support the mission of “Hu$tlin’ for Haiti” as it represents the first collaborative effort from Jamaica’s musical fraternity to help our Haitian brothers and sisters at this crucial time of need.

verse1 again

Some of  The Lyrics of De Live Song
(who u rather)....which side do you rather,
the gully or gaza,
it really doh matter,
when yuh high like ladder,
when the masses gather all by the savannah,
with we cooler full with lager it does make the carnival badder......

Verse 1
..everyday is argument about who carry the swing,
some saying the gully side some say a gaza thing,
it doh really matter with me cuz as far as my eyes can see,
the gaza and the gully in trini is family...so all the gaza go so and all the gully go so,
all the gaza come so and all the gully rock with it so,
we really don't know how the gaza gully love flow so big up everybody from the uptown and ghetto.......

Verse 2
........when it come to both of them ppl ain't watching face,
whether gaza or is gully side gal start to wine them waist,
once we have the stag by the case, and the riddim have plenty bass,
the gaza and the gully tie together like a lace so ...all the gaza go so and all the gully go so,
all the gaza come so and all the gully rock with it so ,
they really doh know,
how the gaza gully love flow so big up everybody from the uptown and ghetto

........Bridge.........
who do you rather,
gully or the gaza,
they say the gaza get madder,
they say the gully side get badder,
the comparing both of them come comparing gucci to prada,
we have to stand at distance and 'low dem because they both have they swagger,
so let me see allyuh flaga,
let me see allyuh ragga,
I doh care you fat or yuh maga,
big up all the uptown and raga,
I don't care which side you rather or you gully side or you gaza is time to make an "alliance" now and make the carnival badder

22 Year Old Comment On Haiti From David Rudder

Friday, January 15, 2010

"When there is anguish in Port au Prince don't you know its still Africa crying. We're outing fires in far away places when our neighbours are burning. The middle passage is gone so how come overcrowded boats still haunt our lives. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT WE GOOD PEOPLE WILL FOREVER TURN OUR HEARTS & OUR EYES... AWAY. Haiti I'm sorry we've misunderstood you one day we'll turn our heads & look inside you. One day we'll turn our heads restore your glory". David Rudder, 1988

Work In Progress - CG 2.0 Flavour For Ringing in 2010

Thursday, December 31, 2009

Always looking to do things a little different. Its an old idea but brought back with a little 2010 flair.

The motivation is really simple. Its to ring out the ole and ring in the new. Lol yeah.

So after a quick chat with fashion designer in the making Kerin Scott we decided to move forward with an interesting little concept to add to style to the night.

In the photo you can see the project is underway.

Why change my style?
I am not known as any fashion guru or anything but as I embark on 2010 with a strong focus on online marketing. I appreciate the need to add that fashion designer mentality into the things that I do.

When your 4 year old cousin is crazy about customizing everything. It is easy to see how an entire generation will be more driven by style and personalization.

This 2010 I am getting started right before I find mysf the old man on the block!
